The 25th International VDI Congress Dritev will take place in Baden-Baden on July 9 and 10, 2025.
(Dusseldorf, March 6, 2025)
The transition to sustainable, defossilized mobility is in full swing. How are drive concepts evolving in this context? The international drive community will also be addressing highly topical future issues at the anniversary edition of its most important annual industry get-together: the 25th International VDI Dritev Congress will take place in Baden-Baden on July 9 and 10, 2025.
National and international experts use this annual event for an intensive exchange of opinions and experiences. Vehicle manufacturers and suppliers come together to report on innovations and developments in drive technology - always with a view to sustainability requirements and current and future regulations. The 50 or so top-class keynote speeches and specialist presentations provide comprehensive insights into new technologies, research findings and current trends in the field of drive systems.
The main topics of this year's Dritev include
- Design and architecture of vehicle drive systems
- Thermal management, operating behavior, acoustics
- CO2-neutrality and sustainability
- E-motor and power electronics
- Methods and simulation
- Transmission and fuels
Accompanying Trade Exhibition
Once again this year, around 60 international companies will use the accompanying trade exhibition in the Kongresshaus to present their innovative technical solutions and products. The Car Showroom focuses on new vehicle concepts and various drive solutions.

Platform for the Drive Community
Last but not least, an integral part of Dritev is the numerous opportunities for networking and exchanging experiences within the international drive community - for example with the popular Speakers' Corner and the exclusive evening event, the “Dritev Summer Night” on July 9, 2025 at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden.
Parallel VDI Conference on Drives in Commercial Vehicles
The 9th International VDI Conference Drivetrain Solutions for Commercial Vehicles, which is taking place at the same time, also offers new ideas and impetus. It will provide a cutting-edge overview of developments in purely battery-electric, CO2-neutral, hybrid and conventional powertrain solutions. A major advantage for participants: They can attend the lecture series of both conferences, and the time slots are coordinated accordingly. In addition, both conferences will start with joint plenary lectures.
